The UC Berkeley seal is an important part of our heritage and reinforces our legacy of leadership.
For communications that connote prestige and excellence in academic and research contexts, the seal may be used as a supporting element and/or super graphic. The seal should not be used as a social media icon.
Size
To maintain full legibility, never reproduce the seal at widths smaller than 1.25 inches (for print) or 215 pixels (for screen). There is no maximum size limit.
Clear space
Ensure that clear space is maintained around the seal for legibility and prominence. Photos, text and graphic elements must follow these guidelines. Use half the seal’s width as a measuring tool to help maintain clearance.
Secondary usage
The UC Berkeley seal can also be used in one-color applications (in PMS 540), grayscale, and in black only (for black-and-white applications).
